The Gardeners of Tucson

.... is a non-profit, tax-exempt, community organization open to all who are interested in plants and gardening. We are affiliated with the national organization The Gardeners of America. Our local club was founded in 1959.

Our Purpose ....

.... is to promote a fuller appreciation of the benefits and joys of working with plants, both locally and nationally.

Our Members ....

.... include folks from all walks of life and all levels of gardening experience. What we all share is a deep enjoyment of working with plants. Our members include newcomers, novices, Master Gardeners, professionals, and even some brown-thumb gardeners. Together we share tips for gardening in the challenging area known as the "Old Pueblo."

Our Meetings ....

Regular Meetings: the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at the City Ward 6 Meeting Rooms:
3202 E. First Street   (1 block east of
Country Club, 1 block south of Speedway)
Presentations start promptly at 7:00 p.m.

TGOT is part of a national organization:
The Gardeners of America formerly called the Men's Garden Clubs of America.

A portion of our annual dues goes to support both the regional and national organizations. This money can come back to our club in form of grants for local programs such as Gardening From The Heart, Outreach, Youth, Beautification, and Arbor Day programs, or as scholarships for local horticultural students.
